Company history

Milestones in our success…

1 January 2000

The beginning

StaKo Tec GmbH & Co. KG is founded by Stephan Staroske and Sven Kohlmus.
We start in a small office in Hamburg-Wandsbek, on the premises of Richard Gerken Wägetechnik (Pfister customer service), our former employer.
Our core business is process automation and weighing and dosing technology.
As long-standing employees of Richard Gerken Wägetechnik, we have the necessary skills and experience and take the step into self-employment.

1 October 2000

Partnership with Schmid Automation

Schmid Automation in Switzerland takes over Pfister Systemtechnik’s customer service for all existing Pfister control systems. Our experience with these systems makes us the service partner for northern Germany.

1 June 2001

Cooperation with automationX

Cooperation with automationX in Austria. We are now an “Authorised System Integrator”.

1 January 2005

Move to Poppenbüttel

Move to new premises at Poppenbütteler Bogen 39, 22399 Hamburg
Our office in Wandsbek had become too small. We significantly expand both our workshop and office space. We can now plan and build large control panels as well. The move also brings an increase in staff.

November 2012

StaKoTec-WBF gains a “Vehicle weighing” module

We use the fine summer days to develop and integrate vehicle weighing software into WBF.
Following repeated customer requests, we expand WBF to include vehicle weighing management.
This enables us to integrate weighing systems from a wide range of vehicle scale manufacturers, as well as our own weighing terminals, into the WBF framework.

January 2013

Our apprentices head out into the wider world.

After qualifying as an electronics technician for automation technology, Mr Bock sets his sights higher and goes on to study astrophysics.
We are very proud to have helped pave his way and wish him every success for the future.

June 2013

We welcome Mr Plewka to our team.
Mr Plewka has a background in marine radio-frequency engineering and strengthens our software and project engineering capabilities.

March 2013

StaKoTec-WBF gains an “Energy management” module

No sooner have we integrated the vehicle weighing module than we move straight on to the next stage of development.
Customers repeatedly raise the same questions:

  • How much does the energy for my production cost?
  • Can I save energy costs by changing production times?
  • When do my highest demand peaks occur?
  • How much reactive energy do I generate?
  • Is my reactive power compensation working properly?

We address these questions by developing an energy module based on Siemens PAC devices (Modbus TCP/IP).

January 2014

The “OEE analysis” module for StaKoTec-WBF is completed.

Following an extensive development phase, we add customer-specific OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) analysis to WBF.
Our customer can now determine a reliable indicator of overall equipment effectiveness.
